Depth of Field-Nature Specific

As students are beginning to work with the manual setting on their camera, the first thing they will look at is shooting depth of field photos. Today they shot ONLY depth of field photos in nature, focusing on zooming in, finding a specific item and photoshopping the photos.

Making Lemonade out of Lemons!

For this assignment the students had to go around the school and find something that wouldn't normally be considered a beautiful, artistic item and shoot it in a way that really changed how people would look at this!

While doing this they focused on using the rule of thirds, and learned some new editing techniques in PhotoShop.
Enjoy!

Shutter Speed Part 1

Yesterday students took photos using Tv which is a shot that sets the F-stop for them, yet they have to set the shutter speed. Their first set of photos was using a quick shutter so that they could make a moving object "stand still."  Today they did the opposite, making objects have the effect of movement...those will be posted soon. Enjoy!
